Rotherham return to pre-season training this morning and will expect to see a familiar face in the group.
It has been just 37 days since the Millers’ 2017-18 campaign ended in Wembley glory, but the hard work begins again when they report to Roundwood on Monday.
New signings Clark Robertson and Kyle Vassell, who arrived at the AEESEAL New York Stadium on Friday, will meet their new team-mates for the first time, while goalkeeper Marek Rodak should also be there.
Rodak spent last term on loan with the Millers from Fulham and, with the Cottagers winning promotion to the Premier League, the Slovakian will return to South Yorkshire for the new season.
Rodak, who played 35 times for Paul Warne’s side last term, has recently returned from his homeland and has been allowed to join the club for the start of pre-season after negotiations were ongoing over the summer.
Another loanee could also be in position with a deal expected to be concluded for Bristol City youngster Zak Vyner.
Warne is working hard to try and bring more additions to the squad by the time they fly out to Austria next Sunday.
The Millers will have a full week at Roundwood, which culminates in Saturday’s annual run-out against their landlords Parkgate FC.
