Rotherham 1 Ipswich 0: Rate the players

Rotherham won their first game in 18 attempts after Tom Adeyemi’s late goal gave them a 1-0 win over Ipswich.

Adeyemi struck in the 79th minute to ensure that the Millers move past the record Football League low points of 20 in a 46-game season.

Here’s how the platers rated, with the chance to add your own at the bottom.

Richard O’Donnell 6 – Made a good save in the first half, but does not look entirely confident in coming for crosses.

Darnell Fisher 6 – Was wasteful in possession at times, but also made some good interceptions, including a goal-saving one in the second half.

Semi Ajayi 7 – Again produced a solid display full of clearances and interceptions before injury struck early in the second half.

Richard Wood 6 – Marshalled the defence well and contributed to a clean sheet.

Joe Mattock 5 – Not his best day on the ball, but did okay at the other end.

Jon Taylor 6 – A bustling, high-energy performance that was only let down by his final touch. Won the penalty, though.

Richie Smallwood 7 – Another battling polished display from Smallwood, who is enjoying the best run this season.

Will Vaulks 6 – Showed his versatility by starting at right midfield and ending up at centre-half. Let no one down.

Tom Adeyemi 7 – Was a driving attacking force in the opening half-hour but faded after that until his late goal.

Carlton Morris 5 – Did not really offer too much in a disappointing performance for the loanee.

Danny Ward 5 – Ward’s potential final meaningful act of the season, and maybe his Millers career, was to miss a penalty before injury saw him withdrawn at half-time.

Alex Bray 5 – Showed moments of quality on the ball but struggled with the physicality.

Anthony Forde 7 – Is enjoying a late-season and could be a key player next term.

Jonson Clarke-Harris 6 – Almost scored with a deflected header.
