Rotherham finally end search for a midfielder with signing of QPR’s Ryan Manning

Rotherham have finally ended their search for a midfielder after bringing in Ryan Manning on loan from QPR.

The 22-year-old Irishman will join up with the Millers for the rest of the 2018-19 campaign.

Boss Paul Warne has been desperate to add to their midfield ranks after a frustrating summer in the transfer marker and Manning will add competition to Will Vaulks, Matty Palmer and Ben Wiles in the middle of the park.

Manning is a Republic of Ireland youth international and joined the Loftus Road outfit in 2015.

He has taken on the number 17 shirt, worn last season by Richie Towell, who the club were chasing this summer.

More to follow.
