Rotherham are taking a look at Hull defender Harvey Rodgers.
The 20-year-old centre-half has impressed during a loan spell at Accrington this season and head of recruitment Jamie Johnson has been made aware of his talents, Millers Time understands.
He is out of contract at the Tigers in the summer, having never made a first-team appearance, and would be available on a free transfer, though some compensation would be due because of his age.
The Millers are monitoring Rodgers, though there has been no firm interest yet. However, he fits the bill in terms of the type of player boss Paul Warne has highlighted as wanting.
Rodgers has played in 12 of Stanley’s current 13-game unbeaten run, which has propelled them into play-off challengers in League Two.
He is attracting interest from a host of other clubs, with Norwich, Barnsley and Bristol City all thought to be watching him in Accrington’s 3-2 win over Crewe at the weekend.
