Rotherham to return to Austria in bid to repeat successes of last year

After the part it played in the club’s success last year, Rotherham have opted to return to Austria for a pre-season training camp.

The foundations of League One promotion were laid in the foothills of the Alpine mountains last July, with the gruelling nature of the week-long stay accredited with providing the fitness which kept the Millers going until the end of May.

For that reason, Paul Warne will take his squad back to the Lindabrunn Sportschule complex 45 minutes outside on Vienna.

They will travel on Sunday July 8 – the day of the World Cup final – and will return a week later.

The Millers will play two games against yet unnamed opposition, the first on Tuesday July 10 and the second on Saturday July 14.
