Rotherham do not know whether Lee Camp will be at the club next season amid speculation linking him to Cardiff.
The Millers goalkeeper, who has been injured since November, is out of contract in the summer and keeping him at the club looks unlikely, with a reunion with Neil Warnock on the cards.
The club are yet to decide which players will be offered a new deals in the summer and may well tender Camp a new contract, but are not yet aware of his intentions.
“He has not intimated anything at the minute, he is just having his rehab,” coach Matt Hamshaw said.
“That will be discussed between the manager and chief executive, we just have to make sure we can get him back fit.
“In terms of his personal situation that would be his choice as well as the clubs so we will see how that pans out.”
Camp was last season’s player of the year and was a crucial presence in the club’s 11-game unbeaten run under Warnock.
The Cardiff boss has potential goalkeeping problems in the summer, with on-loan Allan McGregor likely to head back to Hull, and a move for Camp would seem a sensible option.
